One supporter told talkSPORT they queued for two hours outside the stadium ahead of European football's biggest fixture - which was due to kick off at 8pm.
Reds fans were being held-up by police outside of the stadium as they looked to avoid a rush of supporters descending towards the ground, while the Real Madrid faithful appeared to face no problems.
The match was initially pushed back by 15 minutes, before a further delay, as a UEFA statement said: "For security reasons, the UEFA Champions League final kick-off has been delayed by 15 minutes. It will now start at 21:15 CET."
French police have tweeted a message asking fans not to force entry to the Stade de France as images of supporters climbing gates circulated online.
Spanish football expert Dermot Corrigan was speaking on talkSPORT about the delays outside of the ground. He said: "It's pretty hairy outside.
"A lot of Liverpool fans and a lot of people coming out from the Metro, just crammed into one area in an underpass.
"Everybody funneled in and security were blocking people off, so you just had to shuffle forward.
"The mood was quite calm, nobody was kicking off, but it was hairy and it took a while to get through.
"Just looking at colleagues who are still outside, it's still going on. You can see the Madrid end is pretty full, whereas the Liverpool end is still quite sparse.
"So it seems there's a problem with the organisation."
Preparations didn't go perfectly to plan for Jurgen Klopp's side either as the team bus got caught in traffic on the way to the stadium.
Teams usually look to arrive at the stadium around 100 minutes before kick-off in order to settle into their surroundings, inspect the pitch, warm up and get changed and ready for the clash.
Real Madrid managed to do that by arriving at the Stade de France at around 6.20pm UK time, an hour and 40 minutes before kick-off.
However according to ESPN, the Liverpool squad arrived just an hour and 20 minutes before kick-off, 15-20 minutes after their opponents.
