Blackpool will enter this match off the back of a 1-1 draw against Burton Albion on Saturday, with that result stretching the team's unbeaten run in the third tier of English football to eight matches.

Steve Bruce's side are 13th in the League One table, boasting a record of nine wins, 12 draws and eight defeats from 29 matches to collect 39 points, eight points off the playoff spots in England's third tier.

The Seasiders have drawn a league-high 12 games this term, and a lack of victories has certainly cost them a spot higher up the division, with a huge effort now required to move close to the top six at this stage of the campaign.

Blackpool actually have the third-worst home record in League One this season, only picking up 14 points from their 12 matches in front of their own fans, but eight of those contests have ended in draws.

The Seasiders are without a victory against Rotherham since May 1997, meanwhile, but the points were shared in a goalless draw when the two teams locked horns in the reverse game earlier this season.

Rotherham, meanwhile, will enter the match off the back of a 2-1 defeat to Shrewsbury Town on Saturday, with the loss a third in a row for Steve Evans's side in all competitions.

The Millers, who were relegated from the Championship last season, have only won one of their last four in the third tier of English football, suffering three defeats in the process, including their last two.

Rotherham sit 15th in the table, 11 points ahead of the bottom four, so there are no relegation fears at this stage of proceedings, but they sit some 10 points off the playoff positions.

Evans's team have found it difficult on their travels during the 2024-25 campaign, picking up just 10 points from 14 away matches, recording only two wins in the process.

Rotherham have won five of their last six matches against Blackpool in all competitions, meanwhile, including a 3-0 success in their last Championship clash back in September 2022.

Blackpool head coach Bruce could decide to select an unchanged XI for Tuesday's clash with Rotherham.

Ashley Fletcher has five goals to his name during the 2024-25 campaign, and the 29-year-old is likely to operate in the final third of the field, while there should also be a spot in the XI for CJ Hamilton.

Niall Ennis is a new arrival at the club, recently joining on loan from Stoke City, and the forward will be bidding to add to the one goal that he has scored in his opening two appearances for the Seasiders.

As for Rotherham, Sam Nombe has seven goals in 33 appearances this season, and there is again set to be a spot at the tip of the attack for the 26-year-old.

Head coach Evans is unlikely to spring any surprises on Tuesday evening, with Jordan Hugill again expected to start on the bench, with Joe Powell and Andre Green both in the starting side.

Jack Holmes came off the bench against Shrewsbury and will be in the manager's thinking when it comes to a spot in the first XI, but the attacker is again expected to be named on the bench.
