Betisvs.Barcelona

sportsmole.co.uk, 4 December 2024, 10:17
Barcelona will be aiming to make it successive wins in Spain's top flight when they continue their campaign with a clash against Real Betis on Saturday afternoon.

The Catalan outfit will enter the match off the back of a 5-1 victory over Mallorca on Tuesday night, with the result leaving them top of the La Liga table, four points clear of second-placed Real Madrid, who have two games in hand.

Hansi Flick's side have only won one of their last four league matches, though, suffering two defeats in the process, so they will be aiming to make it back-to-back successes in Spain's top flight for the first time since the start of November.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Real Betis, who suffered a 2-0 defeat to Real Sociedad in La Liga last time out.

Bernal suffered an ACL injury against Rayo Vallecano in the league earlier this term, and he is out for the season, with the youngster working to be ready for pre-season ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen

Barcelona will be missing their number one goalkeeper Ter Stegen for the remainder of the season due to the serious knee injury that he suffered in the clash with Villarreal on September 22.
