Barcelona have identified four attacking targets as they seek urgent cover for sidelined striker Sergio Aguero in the January transfer window, according to reports in Spain.
Aguero, 33, has been ruled out for three months after undergoing a thorough cardiological examination last weekend.
The Argentine suffered with dizziness, breathing difficulties and discomfort in his chest during Barca's La Liga clash with Alaves on Saturday and was taken to hospital following his first-half substitution.
The Catalan club vowed they would take no risks with Aguero's health and a statement released on Monday confirmed he will be missing until at least February 2022.
This comes as a major blow to Sergi Barjuan, who is serving as Barcelona caretaker manager following Ronald Koeman's sacking and already finds himself short of options up front.

Striker Martin Braithwaite could be ruled out until the new year with a knee injury and winger Ousmane Dembele suffered a hamstring complaint during the 1-0 Champions League victory over Dynamo Kyiv in midweek.
Aguero also had fitness issues before his heart problem was diagnosed and made just five appearances since arriving from Manchester City on a free transfer due to a calf injury.
Camp Nou chiefs will need to address their frontline frailties in January and Sport claims they have assembled a four-man shortlist which includes three Premier League stars.
Manchester United veteran Edinson Cavani and Arsenal No.9 Alexandre Lacazette are on Barcelona's radar and both could be acquired on the cheap due to being out of contract next summer.
Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling is an alternative option as he continues to find minutes hard to come by under Pep Guardiola, making just six starts in all competitions this season.
Elsewhere, Barca are said to be keen on Karim Adeyemi, the latest hot property at Red Bull Salzburg who has scored 14 goals in 21 appearances this campaign.

Of the quartet, Sterling would cost the most as City have reportedly placed a £77million asking price on the England international.
The 26-year-old played alongside Aguero at the Etihad for six seasons and sent his former teammate a touching message following the news of his diagnosis.
Sterling tweeted: "Stay strong my brother @aguerosergiokun, we're all with you. Get well soon."
The former Liverpool ace has two goals and two assists this season, while Aguero scored his first Barcelona goal in October's 2-1 El Clasico defeat by Real Madrid.
