Wednesday's Championship predictions including Fulham vs. Swansea City

Meanwhile, the visitors are seemingly on the up under Russell Martin, the Welsh outfit having recently moved up to 17th position in the standings.

With Silva facing his first testing period at Craven Cottage, the Portuguese will demand extra from his squad. While Swansea will fancy their chances of causing an upset, the home side should have enough quality in the final third to edge this contest.

Barnsley vs. Nott'm Forest (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Steve Cooper will look to extend Nottingham Forest's unbeaten Championship record to three matches when they face Barnsley at Oakwell on Wednesday evening.

Meanwhile, the Tykes, who sit three points above their next opponents in the standings, are without a win in seven fixtures.

We say: Barnsley 1-1 Nottingham Forest

With both managers under a certain level of pressure ahead of this game, we expect a battle at Oakwell. While all three results are a possibility, a low-scoring draw appears to be the most likely outcome.

Derby vs. Reading (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Derby County will host Reading on Wednesday and The Rams will look to move onto a positive points tally with a victory after they received a 12-point deduction for going into administration.

Reading currently sit in ninth position and are three points off a playoff place having won their last three league games.

We say: Derby County 0-2 Reading

Unfortunately for Derby they will face a Reading side in red hot form and with all the turmoil off the pitch we think that could only hinder the hosts and that The Royals could collect their fifth victory of the league season on Wednesday.

Millwall vs. Bristol City (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Millwall and Bristol City square off in the Championship on Wednesday night with both teams unbeaten in their last five league fixtures.

However, 10 places separate the clubs in the standings, a consequence of the home side recording four successive draws.

We say: Millwall 1-1 Bristol City

Given their form away from Ashton Gate, there is an argument that Bristol City deserve to be regarded as favourites for this contest. However, when Millwall are involved, we can only back a draw featuring hard work and a lack of goals.

Peterborough vs. Bournemouth (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Bournemouth will be aiming to keep hold of top spot in the Championship when they make the trip to lowly Peterborough United on Wednesday evening.

The Cherries enter the midweek round of action two points clear of West Bromwich Albion and Coventry City, while Peterborough are just one place outside of the relegation zone.

We say: Peterborough United 1-3 Bournemouth

These sides shared six goals in a thrilling draw when they last met in April 2011.

Bournemouth have spent five years in the Premier League since then, of course, and a return to the top flight is their aim this campaign.

On the basis of their recent form, and Peterborough's inability to get wins on the board, we cannot see anything other than a routine away win here.

Luton vs. Coventry (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Coventry City will be looking to maintain their impressive start to the Championship campaign when they travel to Luton Town on Wednesday evening.

The Sky Blues enter the midweek round of fixtures sitting third in the table, nine points better off than 16th-placed opponents Luton.

We say: Luton Town 1-1 Coventry City

Coventry have been in fantastic form, whereas Luton have struggled for victories, but the Sky Blues do not have a great record at Kenilworth Road.

Town have picked up four draws this term, while Coventry were held by Millwall in their most recent away game, so we are backing this one to end all square.
