The Champions League's second qualifying round didn't come without controversy, though the issues came in the stands as Fenerbahce fans taunted opponents Dynamo Kyiv.
The home fans on Wednesday night chanted the name of Russian president Vladimir Putin, clearly aiming to get under the skin of the Ukrainian team's players.
A video posted on Twitter by Batu Bozkurk showed the Fenerbahce supporters chant 'Vladimir Putin' during the second leg of their Champions League second-round qualifier against Dynamo Kyiv.
"Fenerbahce fans chanted 'Vladimir Putin' after a Dynamo Kyiv player celebrated a goal," Bozkurk wrote, alongside the video.
The incident happened just before the hour mark, when Vitaliy Buyalskyi opened the scoring in the tie, giving the Ukrainian side a 1-0 lead on the night and on aggregate.
The 29-year-old Ukraine international then appeared to provoke the home fans by making a gesture that many have said was a reference to Fenerbahce's rivals, Besiktas.
Attila Szalai equalised for the Turkish side two minutes before the end of the 90, though Dynamo Kyiv won in extra time thanks to a goal from Oleksandr Karavayev.
