Barcelona are hoping to put their Champions League heartache behind them on Saturday night and continue their LaLiga Santander form as they travel to take on Valencia at Mestalla.

Xavi Hernandez spoke in the build-up to the trip to Mestalla and was keen to emphasise his side's good domestic form this season, insisting that they are still in the hunt for silverware this term despite their loss to Bayern Munich and elimination from the Champions League.

Valencia, for their part, come into this weekend after a mixed start to the 2022/23 season. From their 11 games so far they've won four, lost four, and drawn three.

Valencia are going to have to do without Samu Castillejo and Jaume Domenech again, and Mouctar Diakhaby is out for another while yet. Barcelona might be pleased to not have to face Ilaix Moriba who would no doubt have something to prove.

Xavi, meanwhile, will be without Memphis Depay, Ronald Araujo, Sergi Roberto and Andreas Christensen. It is thought that Xavi might make some changes.
