The January transfer window has well and truly arrived in the Premier League, with clubs pushing to boost their squads for the second-half of the season.
Chelsea have reportedly struck an €11million (£9.68m) agreement to take Atletico Madrid want-away Joao Felix on loan until the end of the season. Though some pundits have questioned whether the Blues should have made the deal.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are continuing to push for surprise target Wout Weghorst. Besiktas are remaining firm in their stance that they will not cut short his loan from Burnley, but the Dutchman appears to have his heart set on a move to Old Trafford.
One of the biggest moves of the window so far remains Arsenal's pursuit of Mykhaylo Mudryk, with the Gunners locked in fraught negotiations with Shakhtar Dontesk. Liverpool started the month strongly with the arrival of Cody Gakpo, but their search for a new midfielder has hit the buffers.

Chelsea questioned for Felix move
Chelsea's decision to sign Joao Felix on loan has been questioned by Premier League legend Andy Cole.
"Felix is undoubtedly a class player but if you're talking about £10m for a loan fee you might as well try to get the deal done on a permanent basis if you fancy him," Cole told Casinos En Ligne.
"I think he'll create a lot of goals but will he score a lot, Erling Haaland style? No. The two are totally different players."

Tom Davies and Dele Alli, who is on loan at Besiktas, are available also.

Besiktas identify Weghorst replacement
Good news for Manchester United: Besiktas have found a potential replacement for Wout Weghorst.
According to The Athletic, the Turkish club are considering a move for Vincent Aboubakar, who left Besiktas for Al-Nassr in 2021. With Cristiano Ronaldo now the star of the show in Saudi Arabia, he could return to his old club and let Weghorst move to Old Trafford.

Weghorst negotiations
Manchester United's efforts to sign Wout Weghorst on loan until the end of the season are not entirely straightforward, due to the forward's situation.
Burnley striker Weghorst joined Besiktas on a season-long loan deal in the summer, with the Turkish club agreeing to an option to buy Weghorst for €10million (£8.8m) at the end of the campaign.
It is therefore Burnley and Besiktas who are currently in talks over Weghorst. They have to cancel the original agreement before he can be loaned to United.

Petit not convinced by Mudryk
Emmanuel Petit has urged Arsenal to abandon their negotiations for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk and move for Newcastle winger Allan Saint-Maximin and West Ham star Declan Rice instead.
"For me, Saint-Maximin would be a good option if Arsenal can't buy Mudryk," he said.
He added: "I know that Chelsea wants him, but if I were Declan Rice, I wouldn't go to Chelsea, I would go to Arsenal. The two clubs are going in different directions and the way Arsenal is playing, he would be the perfect option for Arsenal."

Trossard a wanted man
Brighton forward Leandro Trossard could be on the move this month, with Tottenham among his suitors in the Premier League.
Trossard's contract expires at the end of June and it looks as though the Seagulls might be tempted to cash in now, rather than lose him for free in the summer. The Belgium international has 25 goals and 14 assists in 121 appearances for Brighton.
Various reports have credited Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle with interest in the 28-year-old.

Weghorst move blasted
Former Real Madrid star Wesley Sneijder has blasted Manchester United's move for Wout Weghorst.
"Surely not. I would find that very strange," he told Veronica Offside when asked how serious he believed the Red Devils were about signing Weghorst.
"I think they've seen the trick with the free kick [in the quarter-final of the World Cup against Argentina], so they don't fall for that in England anymore. In terms of striker, is he really someone United are waiting for? I don't think so.
"They still have 300 of those in the Premier League. It must be a stunt. This really can't be true. They still have 300 of those in the Premier League. It must be a stunt. This really can't be true."
