The Premier League has kicked off, but the return of matches has not diminished the importance of the summer transfer window, which remains open until September 1.
Manchester United's opening day defeat by Brighton has sparked plenty of action at Old Trafford, with Erik ten Hag's side widening their recruitment beyond just Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong. Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot and Bologna striker Marko Arnautovic are both edging towards joining United, with plenty of movement expected on Tuesday.
Elsewhere, Chelsea are chasing Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana after landing Brighton's Marc Cucurella in an eye-catching deal. Arsenal remain in pursuit of a central midfielder and a versatile attacker, while they are also busy offloading fringe players.
There is also plenty of movement elsewhere in the Premier League and right across Europe, with the start of the season focusing minds. To keep up to date with all of that and much, much more make sure you keep a close eye on all transfer news from Mirror Football right here.

Man Utd round-up
So, to begin with, you need to know what is happening at Manchester United, who are the busiest of the lot at the moment.
Having chased Frenkie de Jong all summer, United have now broadened their horizons to include other players. On Monday they agreed a deal in principle with Juventus for Adrien Rabiot, who is in the final year of his contract. They are also in negotiation with Bologna over Marko Arnautovic.
All of this is going on while De Jong's situation at Barcelona somehow gets even messier.
United will definitely be the ones to watch today.

Man Utd still in for De Jong
Manchester United could sign BOTH Adrien Rabiot and Frenkie de Jong this summer, according to Sky Sports.

Rabiot update
Adrien Rabiot was reportedly against the idea of playing for a non-Champions League club... but he appears to have made an exception for Manchester United.
It's believed the Red Devils have agreed a transfer fee with Italian giants Juventus for Rabiot, 27. The France international, who has just one year remaining on his existing deal, is yet to agree personal terms and it could be some time before a transfer is finalised.
Rabiot has a fine CV, winning 22 trophies to date for club and country - including five Ligue 1 titles, the Serie A title and Nations League. He's been a regular for Juventus since joining the club from Paris Saint-Germain in July 2019, making 129 outings to date.
According to The Telegraph, Rabiot is interested in a move to England but would prefer to play for a Champions League side. Yet he's willing to make an exception for United, who will compete in the Europa League this season, due to the club's stature.

Braithwaite's brutal reception
Martin Braithwaite was booed by Barcelona supporters ahead of Sunday's friendly against Mexican side Pumas UNAM.
Barcelona are trying to release Braithwaite, 31, to free up space in their transfer budget. As per La Liga rules, the Spanish giants need to make sales before August 13 if they want to register their new signings - including Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kounde.
Braithwaite still has two years left on his existing deal and is refusing to leave Barcelona this summer unless he's fully compensated. The Denmark international is unlikely to get the same salary at another club and is well within his rights to be paid in full.
