"Cristiano Ronaldo will take a pay cut to leave Man United"
Manchester United's season got off to the worst possible start imaginable for new boss Erik ten Hag, losing 2-1 at home to Brighton.
The result sparked a reaction from British journalist, Piers Morgan who insisted that Ronaldo would take a pay cut to leave United.
"I am convinced that the North London rivals will prevail over ruble-deprived Chelsea and a Manchester United so terrible that Cristiano Ronaldo will take a pay cut to leave them," Morgan stated.

Cavani's change of heart
Edinson Cavani was one step away from joining Boca Juniors, and fans had even been waiting at airports in anticipation of a move that is now not going to happen.
Journalist Leandro 'Tato' Aguilera has reported that the deal is now off, and Cavani has gone back on his decision to join the Argentine side.
Instead, he wants to stay in Europe with his family and he is hoping to play in Spain, with Villarreal and Valencia both interested.

Manchester United want Arnautovic
Bologna forward Marko Arnautovic is an unlikely target for Manchester United this summer, as they want to give Erik ten Hag more options and variety in attack.
The Austrian has experience in the Premier League, scoring 43 goals and providing 33 assists in 184 appearances for Stoke City and West Ham United combined.
Sky Sport Italia reported that a bid was rejected by the Serie A club.
United's Premier League season started with a 2-1 defeat to Brighton on Sunday.
