All of these episodes were perhaps expected, but Mourinho's bond with Tammy Abraham has taken everyone by surprise.

A new lease of life has been breathed into the 23-year-old's career following his switch to the Italian capital.

He's scored two goals and added two assists in five matches and it's no surprise he was the target of Mourinho's wild touchline run last weekend.

Abraham was an outcast in England at Chelsea and much like Mourinho, he has shown that a change of scenery can a the whole world of good to a stumbling career.

Mourinho was a hero last time he was in Italy, steering Inter Milan to the title and an incredible Champions League triumph.

It remains to be seen whether his sublime start at Roma continues, but you get the impression he's made for Italian football.

He wants a group of players who will shed blood and tears on the pitch for him.
