Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Richarlison from Everton in a transfer worth a potential £60million.
The Toffees will receive an initial £50million with a further £10million payable in add-ons. The signing is something of a coup for Antonio Conte's side and the Brazilian becomes his fourth addition of the summer window. Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma have already joined.
Richarlison is a proven performer in the Premier League following his time with Watford and Everton. Last term he was vital in keeping the Merseyside outfit in the top flight. The forward will compliment a forward line that also includes Harry Kane and last year's Golden Boot winnerSon Heung-min.
The 25-year-old has scored 48 goals in England's top division and is now a regular with his country, helping them achieve Copa America glory in 2019. He also added an Olympic Gold Medal to his collection in the summer.
Chelsea, who were also keen on the forward, made a late attempt to hijack the deal after Daniel Levy had settled on an agreement. But their eleventh hour play wasn't enough to swap the player. Everton needed to offload the player to balance their books and said following his departure: "Everyone at Everton would like to thank Richarlison for his service and commitment during his time with the Club."
Richarlison himself had expressed a desire to quit Goodison Park as he eyed pastures new, with options in England and abroad thought to be on his radar.Tottenham secured a top four finish last term with Conte at the helm and must now prepare for a return to the Champions League.

That means they must add to their resources and Richarlison's arrival is certainly welcome and will allow the Italian boss to rotate across several competitions. The forward is yet to play in Europe's top club competition but will have the chance to do so in north London.
Djed Spence is due to be the club's next arrival and is heading to the capital for a medical to wrap up his switch from Middlesbrough. The England U21 international, who can play on either flank, is on his way for a fee of around £15-16million with add-ons.
Richarlison's arrival could signal the end for Steven Bergwijn however, with the Dutchman very much a squad player at Tottenham. He was signed by Jose Mourinho but the north Londoners are now open to his exit and the player himself would prefer a return to the Netherlands.
