Jordan Henderson is often the first man Thierry Henry mentions when he talks about Liverpool with the younger generation.
The Frenchman continues to be impressed by the Reds' skipper, who scored the opener in their Merseyside derby win on Wednesday night.
Henderson is one of several players whose contributions can sometimes go under the radar.
Liverpool's front three have grabbed the headlines for years, with Mo Salah now establishing himself among the top bracket of players in world football.
Henry accepts that the Egyptian's goal tally will attract the attention, as is also the case with stars like Lionel Messi.
But in Liverpool's recent moments of glory it has been Henderson hoisting aloft the trophy.

Henry told Amazon Prime: "He reminds me of Gareth Barry, James Milner. I remember when he started I didn't think he was going to be the player that he is.
"He's not the guy you mention first when you talk about Liverpool. But I do and I do with some young kids.
"You can't all be Mo Salah, you can't all be Messi but if you work hard, work ethic and your mind is in it and you are professional you can become Henderson and become the guy who lifts the trophy.
"Obviously for a long time Liverpool was waiting for that Premier League trophy - he was the guy.
"Liverpool winning the Champions League - he was lifting it and I know not a lot of people will mention him but this is the guy you can try to copy.
"It's difficult to copy Mo Salah, it's difficult to copy those guys and people talk about those guys but I'm a massive fan of him."
Henderson also produced an assist at Goodison Park as the Reds comfortably saw off their neighbours.
No one has played more than the midfielder this term, which underlines his importance to the Merseyside outfit.
Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for his team following their win, which sees them keep pace with Manchester City and Chelsea at the top of the table.
"What football moments we had in the first half - incredible - half-time we controlled it," said the German,
"We showed the boys two or three situations and the way they defended we could have sent Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah away a lot more in one-on-one situations.
"It was a nine out of 10 performance from each of the boys, apart from moments. We shouldn't take that for granted though. It is all about the boys. It was overall a pretty good performance."
