A match between Lujan and Alem in the Argentinian Primera C Clausura had to be suspended after just 14 minutes when a firework was thrown next to the away team bench.
Tempers did not cool down after the incident and referee Nicolas Kresta was forced to suspend the game.
Gunshots around the stadium
There were serious incidents in the vicinity of the stadium while Alem fans were leaving, and gunshots were fired as supporters clashed.
Lujan Web reported that police tried to keep things under control by using rubber bullets and tear gas.
TN have said that at least seven people were shot, suggesting that the shots were fired from a white van filled with Alem supporters, which was then chased and pelted with missiles by Lujan fans.

Telam detailed the the police report from the incident taken at the venue.
"After almost all of the home fans had gone into the stadium via the main entrance, a lot of away fans went in another entrance and the home fans began to attack them," the police report read.
"As a result of the scuffle, the head of the police, Ruben Gimenez, ended up with a cut on his ear.
"At least four were shot and wounded by Alem fans, who had arrived in a white vehicle. One of the victims was left in critical condition."
AFA statement on the suspension of the Lujan vs Alem match
The Argentine Football Association released a statement condemning the incident.
"The Argentine Football Association regret and strongly condemn the acts of violence that took place today in Lujan during the match between Club Lujan and Club Alem," the AFA's statement read.
The statement also said that the federation are in contact with the local authorities to collaborate in the investigation.
