Sunderland in League One play-off final as they get past Sheffield Wednesday

Patrick Roberts' stoppage-time goal earned Sunderland a place in the League One play-off final as they earned a 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday.

The Black Cats went into the clash with a 1-0 lead from Friday's first leg at the Stadium of Light, the semi-final tie looked to be heading to extra time when Lee Gregory put the Owls in front on 74 minutes.

But ten minutes of added time following a clash of heads between Sheffield Wednesday's Sam Hutchinson and Sunderland's Bailey Wright, and the Black Cats struck.

Jack Clarke picked out the former Manchester City man, who calmly slotted from six-years out to send his side to Wembley on May 21.

Alex Neil's men will face Wycombe Wanderers, who got the better of the MK Dons, in the final.
