Sunday's Serie A predictions including Juventus vs. Cremonese

Hellas Verona vs. Torino (Sunday, 11.30am)

Hellas Verona's remarkable push for Serie A survival continues with a home fixture against Torino at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi on Sunday.

Having been written off just a few months ago, Verona now look likely to escape relegation following a sensational run of form to salvage their season.

We say: Hellas Verona 1-1 Torino

Verona's resurgence should have them as slight favourites given they have much more to play for, but they have not kept back-to-back clean sheets in Serie A since April 2014 and remain susceptible at the back.

Eight of the last 11 meetings between the sides have ended in a draw, with four of the last six ending 1-1, and history could well repeat itself here.

Fiorentina vs. Udinese (Sunday, 2.00pm)

After a midweek lapse left their hopes of reaching a European final under threat, Fiorentina return to domestic duty on Sunday, when they host Udinese at Stadio Artemio Franchi.

After blowing a lead at home to FC Basel, the Viola have their work cut out if they are to take a place in the Europa Conference League decider later this month, but they must first tackle direct rivals for a top-half finish in Serie A.

We say: Fiorentina 1-1 Udinese

As Fiorentina are distracted by European commitments, it could be a good time for Udinese to make the trip to Tuscany and add to their away-points tally. While the visitors are not fully fit and firing up front, their hosts have been leaking goals of late and will surely concede at least once on Sunday.

Monza vs. Napoli (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Napoli's victory tour continues on Sunday, as the new Serie A champions seek a 27th league win of the season when they turn out at mid-table Monza.

Luciano Spalletti's side brought the Scudetto back to Naples after three decades and then celebrated by beating Fiorentina last weekend; meanwhile, Monza continue to pursue a top-half finish from their first top-flight campaign.

We say: Monza 1-2 Napoli

With the pressure off, Napoli can aim to end an incredible season with a flourish; ideally returning to their freewheeling style of earlier this year. They boast Serie A's best defensive record, but Monza score at a decent rate and it may take two goals to seal three more points for the peerless Partenopei.

Bologna vs. Roma (Sunday, 5.00pm)

After events in midweek, Roma may be on the verge of reaching another European final, but their hopes of a top-four finish in Serie A hang by a thread before visiting Bologna on Sunday.

The teams convene at Stadio Renato Dall'Ara, with Jose Mourinho's men sitting seventh after taking just two points from four games; while the hosts are without a win in five - loosening their grip on a top-10 place.

We say: Bologna 0-0 Roma

Neither side are prolific and both have lacked a regular goalscorer in recent weeks. Therefore, a low-scoring draw could be on the cards this Sunday, when Roma will be distracted by their upcoming trip to Germany; allowing Bologna to take advantage by adding to an impressive home points total.

Juventus vs. Cremonese (Sunday, 7.45pm)

After getting out of jail in their midweek European clash, Juventus will seek a third straight Serie A win on Sunday, as they host relegation-threatened Cremonese in Turin.

A last-gasp leveller saw Juve salvage a draw from the home leg of their Europa League semi-final tie, and they now aim to increase their stranglehold on second place at the expense of opponents desperately needing points to avoid the drop.

We say: Juventus 1-0 Cremonese

Though the personnel may be different, Max Allegri's outlook rarely changes, and Juventus should grind their way to three more points by taking the lead against Cremonese and shutting up shop. Ahead of a pivotal Europa League tie next week, it may be a matter of getting the job done with the minimum of fuss.
