Sunday's Primeira Liga predictions including Vitoria de Guimaraes vs. Belenenses

Moreirense vs. Famalicao (Sunday, 3.30pm)

Two sides at the wrong end of the Primera Liga table square off on Sunday as Moreirense play host to Famalicao at the Estadio Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas.

The visitors will head into the game seeking to get one over their hosts after falling to humbling defeats in each of their two meetings last season.

We say: Moreirense 2-1 Famalicao

After stumbling into the new campaign, both sides find themselves separated by just one point in the relegation places. Famalicao have struggled to perform at the attacking end of the pitch, where they have scored just three goals so far.

Seeking to extend their run of three games without defeat, Boavista welcome Portimonense to the Estadio do Bessa in round five of the Primeira Liga on Sunday.

The visitors, meanwhile, head into the game fresh off the back of a home loss against Pacos de Ferreira, and will aim to quickly return to winning ways.

Both sides have enjoyed solid starts to the new campaign, and will be looking to strengthen their position in the top half of the standings.

Boavista are currently on a three-game winning streak against the visitors, and, considering they have avoided defeat in each of their last five games across all competitions, we fancy them to come out triumphant on Sunday.

Gil Vicente vs. Vizela (Sunday, 6.00pm)

The Primeira Liga returns with a fresh set of fixtures this weekend, as Gil Vicente welcome Vizela to the Estadio Cidade de Barcelos Stadium on Sunday.

The two sides, who are without a win in their most recent two outings, are separated by two points and six places in the league standings and will be looking to end their dry spells.

We say: Gil Vicente 2-0 Vizela

After opening the season with two consecutive wins, Gil Vicente appear to have fallen off the pace in recent weeks.

They take on an inexperienced Vizela side who are struggling to find their footing in the top flight, having failed to get going on the road so far, losing their two outings and conceding seven goals, and we are tipping the hosts to take advantage of that and claim all three points.

Guimaraes vs. Belenenses (Sunday, 8.30pm)

Belenenses go in search of their first win of the season when they visit the Estadio Dom Afonso Henriques to take on Vitoria de Guimaraes on Sunday.

The hosts, on the other hand, are 10th in the Primeira Liga table with five points from four games, and could move into the top half with a win.
