Atletico vs. Almeria (Sunday, 1.00pm)
Atletico Madrid will be bidding to return to winning ways in Spain's top flight when they welcome basement side Almeria to Wanda Metropolitano on Sunday afternoon.
Diego Simeone's side, who are currently fourth in the La Liga table, suffered a 1-0 loss to Barcelona last weekend, while Almeria drew 0-0 with Real Betis in their last league match.
We say: Atletico Madrid 3-0 Almeria
It would be one of the biggest surprises of the season if Almeria were able to pick up a positive result on Sunday, and we just cannot see the visitors avoiding defeat. Atletico will be aiming to bounce back from their loss to Barcelona and should have far too much quality for their opponents.
Granada vs. Athletic Bilbao (Sunday, 3.15pm)
Athletic Bilbao will be aiming to continue their impressive run of form when they head to Nuevo Estadio de Los Carmenes on Sunday afternoon to face La Liga strugglers Granada.
The visitors are currently fifth in the table, boasting 28 points from their opening 15 matches, while Granada sit in 19th, having only managed to collect seven points from their first 15 games of 2023-24.
We say: Granada 1-2 Athletic Bilbao
We are expecting this to be a close match in terms of the general play and indeed the scoreline, but Athletic are in excellent form at the moment, and we believe that the Lions will be able to navigate their way to what would be an important victory at this stage of the campaign.
Cadiz vs. Osasuna (Sunday, 5.30pm)
Two teams that have had underwhelming La Liga campaigns to date will lock horns at Nuevo Mirandilla on Sunday evening, with Cadiz welcoming Osasuna.
The home side have only picked up 12 points from their 15 league matches this season, which has left them in 16th spot in the table, while an underperforming Osasuna sit 14th in the division on 15 points.
We say: Cadiz 1-1 Osasuna
It is difficult to back either side with any real confidence at the moment considering their results. A point each would not be the end of the world for either manager under the circumstances, and we are expecting a tight and cagey match on Sunday to finish in a low-scoring draw.
Barcelona vs. Girona (Sunday, 8.00pm)
Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys will play host to a huge La Liga contest on Sunday evening, with Catalan rivals Barcelona and Girona, who sit third and second respectively, locking horns.
Girona have been the surprise package in La Liga this season, picking up 38 points from 15 matches to sit second in the table, level on points with leaders Real Madrid, while Barcelona occupy third, four points behind their opponents in this weekend's fascinating contest.
We say: Barcelona 2-1 Girona
This has all of the makings of a fascinating match, and we are expecting some drama on Sunday night. Girona have shown their credentials this season with a series of excellent performances, but Barcelona are the favourites for this contest, and we are expecting the champions to navigate their way to what would be a huge three points at this stage of the campaign.
