Los Angeles FC will visit Sporting KC on Saturday night at Children's Mercy Park.
LAFC currently lead the league in points (42) with a record of 13-4-3.
Sporting KC, meanwhile, are the worst team in the Western Conference with just 20 points and a 5-12-5 record.
This matchup should be relatively easy for the visitors and a perfect opportunity for Gareth Bale to score his first MLS goal.
Bale will be playing in his second match with LAFC but there is another player who will be key to winning and it's not Carlos Vela.
Cristian Arango has been crucial for LAFC all season and is currently the team's leading scorer with eight goals.
While Bale's arrival takes pressure off Vela on the offensive end, Arango must continue to prove his worth with goals.
Vela will become more of a playmaker and general when Bale steps on the field, making sure both he and Arango get open looks to score.
This game will carry extra significance for LAFC midfielder Ilie Sanchez, who played for Sporting KC from 2017 to 2021.
Sanchez leads all LAFC field players in minutes played this season.
The only way Sporting KC will beat LAFC is if attacking players like Johnny Russell and Daniel Salloi drill every chance they get at the goal.
Giorgio Chiellini, who made his LAFC debut last weekend, will be there to try andstop them.
LAFC are way too offensive-minded to not score at least three goals in this one but it might get out of hand if there's an early goal.
There's also the fact that Sporting KC will be without a few of its best players.
They will be without five players on Saturday, including Alan Pulido, Gadi Kinda and Roger Espinoza.
Goalkeeper Tim Melia and defender Graham Zusi are questionable to return from injury.
Kickoff is scheduled for 17:30 PT.
