The 30-year-old was named in the starting lineup for Bayern's penultimate match before the World Cup break this evening, with Julian Nagelsmann's side hosting Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga.
Mane played a part in the opening goal as Jamal Musiala gave the German giants an early lead, but they were quickly pegged back by Anthony Jung's equaliser.
Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting then missed a penalty in an action-packed opening 20 minutes, but Mane's evening did not last any longer than those 20 minutes as he was forced off through injury.
The former Liverpool attacker gestured to the touchline that he needed to come off before limping away for treatment on the injury.
Mane's departure comes just 13 days before Senegal get their World Cup campaign underway against Netherlands in Group A on November 21.
The forward, who finished second in this year's Ballon d'Or voting, is Senegal's leading goalscorer of all time and the second-most capped player in their World Cup squad with 92 international appearances to his name.
Mane will now undergo scans to determine the extent of the injury ahead of the World Cup, where Senegal will also face hosts Qatar and Ecuador.
