Istanbulspor vs. Pendikspor (Saturday, 10.30am)
Two of the three worst teams in the Turkish Super Lig will meet at noon on Saturday at Esenyurt Necmi Kadioglu Stadium when Istanbulspor take on Pendikspor, a match between two sides that will do everything they can to avoid relegation this season.
The hosts lost 3-2 after extra time in the Turkish Cup on Wednesday, while Pendikspor suffered a 5-0 defeat to league leaders Fenerbahce last Sunday.
We say: Istanbulspor 1-1 Pendikspor
These two teams are clearly among the relegation candidates, which makes the encounter even more valuable if they win.
The home and away records of the two teams are not very meaningful if we look at the bigger scheme of things, therefore the game can go either way.
Samsunspor vs. Hatayspor (Saturday, 1.00pm)
Samsunspor will look to end their three-month winless drought in the 2023-24 Super Lig season when they take on Hatayspor at Samsun 19 Mayis Stadyumu on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts suffered another defeat last weekend when they lost 2-0 away to Ankaragucu, while Hatayspor booked their place in the next round of the Turkish Cup with a 2-0 home win over Sariyer on Tuesday.
We say: Samsunspor 0-2 Hatayspor
Samsunspor show no signs of picking up any momentum even after the appointment of Gisdol, so there is little to no argument to believe they could turn things around this weekend.
Hatayspor, on the other hand, have the perfect opportunity to end their two-game losing streak in the league against the worst team in the division.
Fenerbahce vs. Trabzonspor (Saturday, 4.00pm)
Fenerbahce will look to extend their remarkable 10-game winning streak to 11 when they take on Trabzonspor at Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on Saturday night.
Last weekend, the hosts proved once again that their outstanding early form in the league is no fluke as they won 5-0 against Pendikspor, while the visitors had to settle for a goalless draw against Fatih Karagumruk.
We say: Fenerbahce 3-1 Trabzonspor
It does not look like Fenerbahce will stop anytime soon, even though the injury list on their side is quite daunting.
With all due respect to Trabzonspor, they do not look like a team that could stop the league leaders at this stage of the season.
