Saturday's Primeira Liga predictions including Vitoria de Guimaraes vs. Porto

Portimonense vs. Chaves (Saturday, 3.30pm)

Seeking to make it two successive home wins for the first time since September 2022, Portimonense welcome Chaves to the Estadio Municipal de Portimao in round 11 of the Primeira fixtures on Saturday.

Still trying to find their feet after what has been a stuttering start to the season, the Flavienses will head into the weekend looking to snap their three-match losing streak and pull clear of the bottom three.

We say: Portimonense 2-1 Chaves

Fresh off the back of a humiliating defeat against Braga, Portimonense will head into the weekend looking to restore some pride. Sergio's men take on a Chaves side who have lost seven of their eight away matches across all competitions this season and we fancy them coming away with all three points, albeit by the odd goal.

Estrela Amadora vs. Moreirense (Saturday, 6.00pm)

Seeking to pick up back-to-back home wins for the first time since February, Estrela Amadora welcome Moreirense to the Estadio Jose Gomes in round 11 of the Primeira Liga on Saturday.

Os verdes e brancos, meanwhile, head into the weekend unbeaten in each of their last five league outings and will be looking to strengthen their position in the top half of the table.

We say: Estrela Amadora 1-1 Moreirense

Despite the full-time result, Estrela showed their mettle against a star-studded Sporting Lisbon side and will look to build on that result. However, they take on an in-form Moreirense side who have been defensively solid this season. That said, we predict both sides will cancel out each other's efforts and settle for a share of the spoils.

Vizela vs. Famalicao (Saturday, 6.00pm)

Famalicao will be looking to pick up back-to-back Primeira Liga wins for the first time since April when they take on Vizela at the Estadio do FC Vizela on Saturday.

The Vizelenses, who are currently just three points above the bottom of the table, have lost their last three home games and will head into the weekend seeking to end this poor run.

We say: Vizela 1-2 Famalicao

Having both returned to winning ways last time out, Vizela and Famalicao will head into the weekend with renewed confidence as they look to put together a fine run of form. Vizela's poor home form gives Vila Nova a slight edge and we fancy them extending their dominance in this fixture by claiming a narrow victory.

Guimaraes vs. Porto (Saturday, 8.30pm)

It is fifth against third in round 11 of the Primeira Liga on Saturday when Vitoria de Guimaraes welcome Porto to Estadio Dom Afonso Henriques.

Both sides are going into the encounter on the back of league defeats, with Vitoria losing at Moreirense and the away side suffering a shock home defeat to relegation-threatened Estoril.

We say: Vitoria de Guimaraes 1-2 Porto

Saturday's clash between these two clubs could be a high-scoring affair, with Porto ultimately edging it by a solitary goal.
