Saturday's Primeira Liga predictions including Rio Ave vs. Braga

Vizela vs. Farense (Saturday, 3.30pm)

Two sides who could do well with a win go head to head in round 25 of the Primeira Liga as Vizela play host to SC Farense at the Estadio do FC Vizela on Saturday.

A run of just one win in nine games has seen the Vizelenses plunge into the relegation zone, while the visitors have picked just two points from five matches since January.

We say: Vizela 1-0 SC Farense

Vizela and Farense have struggled to get going of late and will both head into the weekend in search of a pick-me-up. The Vizelenses' home advantage should give them a slight edge this weekend as we are backing them to come away with all three points, albeit by the odd goal.

Boavista vs. Moreirense (Saturday, 6.00pm)

Moreirense set out in search of a second consecutive away win for the first time this year when they journey to the Estadio do Bessa to take on Boavista on Saturday.

The hosts head into the weekend unbeaten in each of their last five games against Os verdes e brancos since June 2020 and will be looking to extend this impressive four-year streak.

We say: Boavista 1-2 Moreirense

Looking at recent meetings between Boavista and Moreirense, we anticipate a cagey affair at the Estadio do Bessa on Saturday. Borges's side are unbeaten in six of their last eight matches on the road, and we fancy them seeing off Os Axadrezados who have won just one home game since September.

Rio Ave vs. Braga (Saturday, 6.00pm)

Two sides at opposite ends of the table go head-to-head in round 25 of the Primeira Liga as Rio Ave play host to Braga at the Estadio dos Arcos on Saturday.

While Os Arcebispos are well on course to secure a place in Europe, this weekend's hosts find themselves scrambling for points just above the relegation zone.

We say: Rio Ave 1-2 Braga

High-flying Braga have put together a fine run of form in recent weeks and look set to mount a late charge for a top-two finish. Jorge's men take on an out-of-sorts Rio Ave side who have struggled to get going this year, and we fancy them to extend their dominance in this fixture.

Guimaraes vs. Famalicao (Saturday, 8.30pm)

Vitoria de Guimaraes will be looking to move within two points of the European qualifying places when they play host to Famalicao in round 25 of the Primeira Liga on Saturday.

Having suffered a 3-1 defeat in October's reverse fixture, the Vila Nova will journey to the Estadio Dom Afonso Henriques seeking to get one over the hosts and strengthen their position in the top half of the table.

We say: Vitoria de Guimaraes 3-1 Famalicao

With just 10 games left to go, Vitoria de Guimaraes know they must avoid any further slip-ups in their quest for European football. Having secured a morale-boosting result at Estoril last time out, we are tipping Pacheco's men to pick up where they left off and claim all three points this weekend.
