Rennes vs. St Etienne (Saturday, 4.00pm)
New Rennes manager Jorge Sampaoli will seek to win his first game in charge when Saint-Etienne travel to Roazhon Park in Ligue 1 on Saturday.
The Argentine manager replaced Julien Stephan during the international break, but lost his first game away to Lille last weekend.
We say: Rennes 2-0 Saint-Etienne
St Etienne's woeful away form shows no signs of improving, while Rennes certainly looked better under new manager Sampaoli despite defeat against tough opposition last week, especially defensively.
Brest vs. Strasbourg (Saturday, 6.00pm)
Fresh off the back of the biggest game in the club's history, Brest return to the Stade Francis-Le Ble to face Strasbourg in Ligue 1 on Saturday night.
Eric Roy's side were comfortably beaten 3-0 by Barcelona in the Champions League in midweek, suffering a first loss on the continent this season.
We say: Brest 2-0 Strasbourg
Against only Paris Saint-Germain and Rennes do Brest have a longer current winless run at home than they do versus Strasbourg, but despite their slow start in the league, three of their four wins this season have come immediately after a Champions League matchday.
Strasbourg have produced entertaining encounters on the road so far, but have just two points to show for it, with their tally of 10 goals proving insignificant due to the fact they have let in 16.
PSG vs. Nantes (Saturday, 8.00pm)
Paris Saint-Germain return to domestic matters with a home encounter against Nantes in Ligue 1 on Saturday after yet another disappointing midweek in Europe.
The French champions remain outside the Champions League top 24 following a fourth straight game without a win in the league phase, losing 1-0 at Bayern Munich on Tuesday.
We say: Paris Saint-Germain 4-0 Nantes
Despite continental troubles, PSG remain near-perfect in Ligue 1 and should have no problem collecting another three points, doing so with a fourth home clean sheet in seven games at the Parc des Princes so far - the same tally they managed in the whole of last season.
Nantes have been absolutely woeful of late, and on paper there are not many bigger mismatches on paper in Europe's top leagues this weekend.
