Saturday's Argentine Primera Division predictions including Boca Juniors vs. San Lorenzo

Patronato vs. Arsenal (Saturday, 5.00pm)

After five consecutive games without being defeated Arsenal Sarandi will be heading into Saturday's game with plenty of confidence as they travel to face Patronato.

The hosts are also in good form at the moment despite the fact they are in the relegation zone, with the club having the chance to get out of the bottom four with a victory.

Two teams at opposite ends of the Argentine Primera Division will meet on Saturday when San Lorenzo welcome Boca Juniors to Estadio Pedro Bidegain.

The visitors will be aiming to bounce back from being knocked out of the Libertadores via a penalty shootout, while the hosts have failed to win in their previous two fixtures.

Boca Juniors have not been in the greatest form as of late in all competitions, but this could be the perfect fixture in order for them to get back in form.

San Lorenzo will be sure to provide a stern test, particularly due to the fact they are playing at home, but ultimately the visitors should be able to take three points here.

Banfield vs. Union (Saturday, 10.00pm)

Banfield will look to continue their impressive start to the Argentine Primera Division season on Saturday, when they entertain Union.

A five-game unbeaten run has seen the hosts climb into the top four, while their visitors have also enjoyed a rise to 10th spot thanks to back-to-back wins.

Union have certainly made positive steps with back-to-back league wins in recent weeks, but they face a tough test travelling to an in-form Banfield side, and we just give the edge to the hosts.

Talleres vs. Barracas Central (Sunday, 12.30am)

Two teams fighting around the bottom end of the Argentine Primera Division table will do battle on Saturday, as Talleres entertain Barracas Central.

A crucial win last time out saw the visitors climb to 21st spot, leapfrogging their opponents who now sit 23rd.

Barracas Central will have renewed confidence from their win last time out, but Talleres will be vying to avoid what would be another harmful defeat, and we see them taking a share of the spoils on home turf.

Platense vs. Newell's OB (Sunday, 12.30am)

Having let top spot slip from their grasp earlier this week, Newell's Old Boys travel to Buenos Aires, where they meet Argentine Primera Division rivals Platense on Saturday.

Both teams are unbeaten in the opening six rounds of the league's second phase, with the hosts sitting third and Newell's second before the action resumes.

Newell's have won each of their three away fixtures so far, and having recently kept opponents shut out for a total of nearly 400 minutes, they generally prove difficult to break down.
