The Red Devils take on Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday with the Portuguese forward the talk of the town going into the match.
Ronaldo made headlines earlier this summer after signaling his intention to leave the club in order to play Champions League football.
Despite early interest from the likes of Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, the 37-year-old is yet to get anywhere near a move away from Old Trafford, meaning that his future is very much in the balance.
After playing 45 minutes of United's friendly against Rayo Vallecano last week, Ronaldo drew criticism for being one of many players to leave Old Trafford early, leading to criticism from Erik ten Hag.
However when asked about Ronaldo's involvement this weekend, the Dutch head coach gave a prickly response.
Asked if he would start, ten Hag said: "We will see on Sunday.
"I'm satisfied with the whole team, we're working good, good culture and Cristiano is working really tough and hard. I'm really happy.
"We have a top striker; really happy he's here with the squad and we stick to the plan."
While fans wait with bated breath to see if Ronaldo will feature against the Seagulls, the man himself has taken to social media with an Instagram story that simply says 'ready'.
It's clear that Ronaldo is ready to play, the question is whether Ten Hag is willing to introduce him back into his plans, particularly given the recent injury to Anthony Martial that will rule him out of the game.
