The Portuguese superstar was a part of the team that was thrashed 5-0 by Liverpool on Sunday, which has left boss Solskjaer under immense pressure.
And one Red Devils supporter believes that the Norwegian's limitations could mean that some of the club's star players will want to leave at the end of the season.
"I'm an Ole fan, but the match last night essentially showed everyone that what we're really capable of - no pressure, no creativity, and no idea of what we're actually doing," United fan Serge told talkSPORT.
"This season, United will inevitably lose quality players because of poor management.
"I can see Bruno [Fernandes], [Donny] Van de Beek, and [Edinson] Cavani leaving because they'll lose faith.
"The worst thing, as well as all of this, is our legendary player, Ronaldo, I think, will be forced to retire early because he's on a two-year contract and, with the way things are going, I can't see him extending.
"He's just going to have to retire because he won't leave after that legendary return."
Ronaldo's social media activity suggests he won't quit any time soon, however, stating on Instagram that it's now 'up to the players to deliver' after the humiliation at Old Trafford.
"Sometimes the result is not the one we fight for," Ronaldo posted. "Sometimes the score is not the one we want. And this is on us, only on us, because there's no one else to blame.
"Our fans were, once again, amazing in their constant support. They deserve better than this, much better, and it's up to us to deliver. The time is now!"
