Robertson's ruthless scream to Liverpool teammates after Liverpool's fifth goal

Liverpool ace Andy Robertson was desperate for his team-mates to keep scoring against Manchester United on Sunday, even after the fifth goal went in.

The Scottish defender, 27, was heard urging the Reds on as they completed a stunning 5-0 victory against their bitter rivals at Old Trafford.

As reported by the Liverpool Echo, Robertson shouted: "Keep going, keep going! Be ruthless!"

Jurgen Klopp's side didn't add to their impressive lead, despite Paul Pogba being dismissed in the 60th minute for a reckless challenge on Naby Keita.

Few, though, would deny Liverpool were ruthless against United on a sobering day for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

Goals from Naby Keita, Diogo Jota and a hat-trick from Mohamed Salah completed a famous triumph for the Anfield-based club.

It was Liverpool's biggest win against United since September 1925 and their biggest ever at Old Trafford - but Robertson wanted more.

And so did iconic defender Jamie Carragher. Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, he said: "I actually don't think Liverpool were at their best.

"But whenever they got in around United's back four, they [the hosts] were a mess.

"Drink this in, you won't get this again. United and Liverpool is maybe the biggest rivalry in the world, but you won't get an opportunity like this [again]."

One person who certainly enjoyed the occasion was Klopp, who admitted he was surprised - but elated - by his team's dominance.

He told the press: "What can I say? Did I expect that? No.

"But what we did was insane, how we pressed high, won balls and got the ball in the right areas - and scored wonderful goals.

"At half-time I said we had to play better. We started very well but then stopped playing football.

"Scoring the fourth, then fifth, it was game over. It wasn't about scoring more, we just tried to play the game without injuries but that didn't happen.

"The result is insane. I asked if there was ever a result like this and nobody could come up with anything and it will be a long time until it happens again.

"It's crazy but not the time to celebrate through respect for the opponents."

Klopp also provided updates on James Milner and Keita, who were both forced off through injury.

He revealed: "Milner's injury was a hamstring and we had no time to sort it. Then we changed and Naby, we have to see. It was full throttle onto his shin.

And Klopp praised hat-trick hero Salah, describing the fifth goal as "incredible".

The Reds boss added: "He's in great shape and he deals with all the fuss being made of him really well and enjoys his football... long may it continue."
