Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has admitted he held meetings with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
The Polish striker has established himself as one of the elite attacking players in world football over the past decade with his remarkable goal scoring record for club and country.
Now aged 33, Lewandowski has bagged a remarkable 303 goals in 335 appearances for Bayern and has previously been linked with a move away from the club.
The experienced striker was linked with a Bayern exit this summer with Chelsea among the clubs who were said to be monitoring his future at the Bundesliga champions.

Lewandowski's contract at Bayern runs through to the summer of 2023 - two months before he celebrates his 35 th birthday.
He has now revealed that he has spoken directly to Madrid president Florentino Perez in a mysterious manner, claiming that he 'can't say more' about the meetings.
Lewandowski explained to Gazzetta dello Sport, as per Football Italia : "It's true that I met the president of Real Madrid Florentino Perez once or twice after some matches in Madrid, but I can't say more.
"With Bayern, I play in the Champions League every season against clubs from other countries, and I can show how good I am.
"I am focused only on the present and my club to try to win again and again. I don't think about the speculation about my future made by others."
Lewandowski's goal scoring numbers are remarkable - he netted 41 Bundesliga goals in 29 appearances last season, beating the late Gerd Muller's all-time record.
The talisman has also found the net in each of his last 19 appearances for Bayern, a run that has encompassed 30 goals.
This has led to inevitable comparisons to superstars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, who have dominated football awards and fanfare for over a decade.
Lewandowski then responded when asked if he compared himself to those two players who have almost transcended football: "I always compete with myself. I do not compare my numbers and goals with those of Leo and Cristiano.
"They are great players, they continue to do great things and I have great respect for them.
"But, I repeat, I also want to continue to show what I can do, no matter how difficult it will be, but I want to continue on the road to success."
Lewandowski joined Bayern Munich on a free transfer from Borussia Dortmund in 2014 with his career encompassing nine Bundesliga titles - seven with Bayern and two with Dortmund.
He also spearheaded Bayern's Champions League success in 2020.
