Zidane's assistant, David Bettoni, will take charge of the team for their trip to Alaves on Saturday night.
It is not yet known whether or not there is any further outbreak at the club, with Real also scheduled to face Levante at the Bernabeu next Saturday.
The pressure has intensified on Zidane following a humiliating defeat to third-tier Spanish side Alcoyano in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night.
Asked if he still has the support of his players after the defeat, Zidane said: "I think so but you have to ask them.
"We have done good things, not so much lately, but apart from the last games we did good things this season.
"We have to concentrate on the things that can be done. When you lose, you always talk.
