Former Barcelona manager Quique Setien could reportedly be set for a return to the Real Betis dugout.
The 62-year-old took over as Ernesto Valverde 's successor at Camp Nou in 2019, but Setien was sacked after overseeing Barcelona's humiliating 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Before taking the hotseat in Catalonia, Setien spent two years at the helm at Betis, and the former Spain international is supposedly being lined up as the Verdiblancos' new leader.
According to Todofichajes, the curtain could come down on Manuel Pellegrini 's Betis career should the Verdiblancos lose to Osasuna on Sunday, with Pellegrini's sid e currently 16th in the La Liga table.
The report claims that Betis already have several names in the hat to replace Pellegrini, and the one that stands out the most is Setien, who led the Verdiblancos to qualification for the Europa League in the 2017-18 campaign.
Under Pellegrini, Betis have lost seven of their 11 La Liga matches this term and have shipped a league-high 23 goals in the 2020-21 Spanish top flight.
