While the home side are bottom of the Turkish Super Lig table, Kayserispor head into the weekend in eighth position with 12 points to their name.
Match preview
After winning promotion last season, Umraniyespor have struggled to adapt to the top-flight in their first-ever Turkish Super Lig campaign.
They only have two points to show for their efforts in their opening eight games, and they head into Sunday's contest off the back of consecutive defeats.
A narrow 2-1 defeat to Kasimpasa was followed by another loss last weekend as Konyaspor edged out Umraniyespor 1-0 to claim all three points.
Although Recep Ucar's side have conceded more than one goal in only two of their games this season, they are still searching for their first Turkish Super Lig clean sheet, while in the final third, they have failed to score on five occasions this season.
Having lost their opening four home league games, Umraniyespor will look to claim their first home points in the topflight on Sunday.
While the hosts are four points adrift from safety, Kayserispor are currently in the top half of the table despite experiencing a mixed start to their campaign.
Kayserispor's inconsistency is demonstrated by the fact that their opening eight league games are split evenly between wins and losses.
After beating Antalyaspor and Hatayaspor, Cagdas Atan's side had the chance to record three consecutive victories last weekend when they faced current Turkish Super Lig champions Trabzonspor.
A first half strike from Mario Gavranovic set Kayserispor on their way, but Anastasios Bakasetas levelled from the spot in the 78th minute before Umut Bozok completed the Trabzonspor turn-around with seven minutes to play.
Despite losing last Saturday, Kaysersipor have the chance to record back-to-back away wins after beating Hatayspor 4-0 in their most recent away match.
