The hosts, who sit 14 points adrift of their opponents in third place, are looking to extend their unbeaten home run to six matches.
Match preview
Dallas are currently seven points better off than eighth-place LA Galaxy - who have two games in hand - and Saturday's hosts can inch closer to a playoff place with a win against Los Angeles FC.
The hosts head into their final four games in promising form after losing just one of their previous six games, with three wins occurring in that period.
Their latest victory took place last week when they cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory away to Minnesota United.
A Michael Boxall own goal opened the scoring in the second half, and within three minutes, Alan Velasco and Jesus Ferreira both found the net to wrap up a comprehensive win.
After winning on their travels last time out, Dallas will turn their attention to Saturday's contest at the Toyota Stadium where they have avoided defeat in their last five matches.
Meanwhile, LAFC are on course to finish top of the Western Conference with nine points separating them from second-place Austin FC.
Despite looking to be on course to clinch first place, LAFC entered last weekend's encounter with Real Salt Lake off the back of three consecutive away defeats.
Ryan Hollingshead opened the scoring against Real Salt Lake in the 48th minute before Cristian Arango wrapped up the three points with just over 20 minutes to spare.
The result represented an eighth consecutive home victory for LAFC, who have also kept a clean sheet for three straight home games.
After losing their last three away matches, Steve Cherundolo will be looking for a positive result on their travels this weekend when they face a Dallas side who they have beaten in their previous three meetings.
