'Preposterous' - Simon Jordan slams Kyle Walker for Rasmus Hojlund play-acting

The Manchester City captain was involved in an altercation with Rasmus Hojlund during the first half.

Both players were booked after the Manchester United forward reacted angrily to being fouled by Walker.

However, the defender has since been criticised for theatrically falling to the floor as Hojlund faced up to him.

Roy Keane labelled his behaviour 'embarrassing' at half-time on Sunday.

Jordan has now followed suit with his reaction to the incident.

Speaking on White & Jordan, the talkSPORT co-host explained: "I have to say, as a huge admirer of Kyle Walker's, I thought that was preposterous what he did in terms of when Rasmus Hojlund confronted him and then fell on the floor.

"That is indicative of a mindset inside Man City at this moment in time, if you want to use examples and metaphors to try and find out what's going on, because everyone is trying to find out what the hell is going on.

"They weren't great against Juventus. They had opportunities, [Erling] Haaland needed to score in that game to open it up.

"But the bottom line is, will City find their way through it? You betcha they'll find their way through it.

Walker was also later mocked on social media by Hojlund after the match.

The Danish international shared a snap of their altercation to Instagram as he took aim at his rival's theatrics.

Hojlund wrote in the caption: "Manchester is red. Violets are blue "What a brilliant performance. But the Oscar goes to..."

United also had the last laugh on the pitch after a dramatic late fight back from the visitors.

Having trailed to Josko Gvardiol's first half header as late as the 88th minute, Bruno Fernandes equalised from the penalty spot.

Amad Diallo then grabbed the winner to snatch all three points in Ruben Amorim's first Manchester derby.

It was also the first time United have won at the Etihad Stadium since 2021.
