The uncertainty over the Paris Saint-Germain bench for the 2022/23 season looks to be all but settled.
Mauricio Pochettino and his coaching staff have come to an agreement with the club and will now be consigned to the PSG history books.
According to L'Equipe, the Argentinian coach, who had failed to reach an agreement regarding the termination of his contract at the Parc des Princes, has accepted a payment of 10 million euros as compensation for the remaining year which was left on his PSG deal.
As a result, the PSG bench is now vacant... but not for long.
Christophe Galtier has already confirmed his departure from Nice and will be the next person to take over the position that Pochettino has left in Paris.
The Argentine coach has spent a season and a half at PSG after arriving in Paris in January 2021.
In 2021, he saw Lille take Ligue 1 from him, but last season he was able to guide PSG back to the top of the Ligue 1 standings.
