The Wrexham co-chairman joined his club's supporters to watch The Declan Swans perform their song about him and his co-owner Ryan Reynolds - and he couldn't help but get emotional.

The 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' star has co-owned the Red Dragons alongside fellow actor Ryan Reynolds for two years next month.

The American has heard Wrexham fans The Declan Swans' song plenty of times and even tweeted the tune saying 'they'll play this at my funeral'.
But that didn't stop the Hollywood star welling up when his club's fans sung their song about their takeover to him live in one of the town's pubs.
Named 'It's Always Sunny in Wrexham', the song was heavily featured in McElhenney and Reynolds' popular FX documentary 'Welcome to Wrexham'.
As well as The Declan Swans performing, everyone else in the packed out pub was singing along, too.

And McElhenney is seen having to wipe the tears away as he took in the moment.

As the band sing the line 'No ones spent as much as a penny, bring on the Deadpool and Rob McElhenney', the Hollywood star is seen perched against a sofa, smiling with tears in his eyes.
Despite not achieving promotion last season, Reynolds and McElhenney's time as owners has still felt like a fairy tale, with them going to Wembley and reaching the play-offs last campaign.

Wrexham are currently second in the National League, just three points shy of leaders Notts County.
