Natasha Jonas became a world champion at the age of 37 in February as she beat Chris Namus to claim the vacant WBO super-welterweight title.
And this summer it's over to her younger sister, Arsenal winger Nikita Parris, who's looking to bring football home with England at the Women's Euro 2022.
Before Jonas sealed her world title, it's fair to say Parris was much more of a household name.
An impressive haul of five major trophies, as well as the Football Writers' Association Women's Footballer of the Year award in 2019, made Parris one of the brightest sparks in women's football in England.
All those accolades were won when she was at Manchester City and Parris subsequently earned a move to Lyon. The success continued in France as she lifted four trophies in her debut season, including the Women's Champions League.
Parris made a return to the WSL last summer as Arsenal signed her for a club-record £86,000 fee. However, the 28-year-old has struggled for game time and netted just one league goal for the Gunners.
For perhaps the first time in what's been a fine playing career so far, things are some way off going to plan for Parris, who may look to her sister - whose journey to the top hasn't been straightforward - as a source of inspiration.
She's previously spoken of being inspired by Jonas, who became the first British female boxer to compete at an Olympic Games.
"In 2012, I watched my sister in the Olympics," Parris said after being selected to play for the Team GB Women's football team at the Tokyo Olympics.
"To watch my sister in a GB team and then to be selected into a GB team is massive. It's a really nice experience for us as sisters, us as family.
"She really created a legacy by going to the Olympics in 2012. She was the first woman to be positioned in the boxing ring for GB women.
"I think it's massive and she's a real inspiration. At 36 years old she's still competing in pro boxing, in great shape and really doing well."
Asked if Jonas, now 38, had been able to pass on much advice, Parris said: "Yeah, a lot!"
Jonas is now a world champion but en route to that status she encountered setbacks along the way.
A resounding defeat to Katie Taylor crushed Jonas dreams of a medal at London 2012, while the Irishwoman denied her the chance to become WBA, WBO, WBC, IBF and The Ring Magazine lightweight world champion in 2021.
Parris made Sarina Wiegman's squad for the upcoming finals with a few question marks surrounding her form, but an ability to put the setbacks behind her like her sister has done so effectively means Parris can still be key in the Lionesses' pursuit of glory.
