Former PSG Women star Aminata Diallo searched 'how to break a kneecap' on Google before one of her teammates was attacked, it has been claimed.
Diallo was charged with aggravated assault on Friday evening after being taken into custody by police, who are investigating an attack on Kheira Hamraoui last year. The incident occurred on November 4 after a team meal. Hamraoui was being driven home by Diallo before two masked strangers dragged her from the car and beat her legs with an iron bar.
Police reportedly bugged Diallo's phone, given she was a person of interest in the investigation, and a new report from the Crime Prevention Brigade of the judicial police of Versailles has found alleged content on her phone. She is claimed to have searched "dangerous drug cocktail" and "how to break a kneecap".
It also states that Diallo developed a "real hatred" for her colleagues, with one alleged message on her phone stating she wished "them all pain", referencing team-mates at PSG. The report, obtained by Le Parisien, also comments on how Diallo "considered her an obstacle to her own sports career".
One WhatsApp message read: "If I was bad, jealous, and calculating like her... I [would tell a relative] to destroy her." Another, which was sent to a contact nicknamed 'Jaja', read: "I will become shameless now! I need someone but to f*** my job for free I don't accept… I wish them [my team-mates] all harm, I only need my relatives."
Diallo, who has been without a club following the expiry of her PSG contract last season, has been temporarily placed in prison, and has maintained her innocence throughout. She is waiting for further talks with the investigating judge. She was previously released without charges following her first detention last year.
Hamraoui has previously discussed her experience of the attack, telling L'Equipe : "Two hooded strangers took me out of the car I was travelling in to hit me on the legs with iron bars. That night, I really thought I was going to stay there... I was screaming in pain. I tried to protect myself as much as possible. I have a very painful memory.
"Their objective was simple that night: to violently take my work tool by breaking my legs and ending my career."
Four men have been arrested in connection with the attack on Hamraoui. One man has reportedly confessed to police that they were hired to attack the PSG star for €500 (£438).
