A total of 20 players have been nominated for the prestigious 2021 women's Ballon d'Or and the list includes four members of the Barcelona Femeni team which secured victory in the Women's UEFA Champions League last season and another - Irene Paredes - who has since joined the all-conquering Catalan side from French giants Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
Along with Paredes, Alexia Putellas, Lieke Martens, Jenni Hermoso and Sandra Panos have all made it onto the shortlist.
But there was no place on the list for the reigning champion, United States star Megan Rapinoe, who took the prize when it was last handed out in 2019.
