The 23-year-old ran over to the touchline to grab a drink and receive instructions from boss Eddie Howe when he ran into trouble with the water bottle.
After planting his mouth around the bottle he quickly realised that he was drinking from the wrong side of it, spraying the drink in the opposite direction.
After quickly realising his error, he finally quenched his thirst before returning to matters on the pitch.
