The Magpies left it late to win at the City Ground on Friday night to boost their Champions League hopes after closing the gap on fourth-placed Tottenham to a point.

Alexander Isak helped himself to a double in the 2-1 victory, where he equalised just before the break with a shinned volley, before tucking away a 93rd minute penalty.
And it was Trippier's antics at the end of the match that has delighted the Toon faithful, as he fooled the Forest players into thinking that he would be taking the spot-kick.

The English right-back held onto the ball as the Reds players looked to put off the ex-Tottenham defender as part of their mind games.
His former Spurs teammate Serge Aurier delayed the penalty by standing next to the spot, while goalkeeper Keylor Navas was booked for his actions.
Trippier was seen grinning as the Forest squad attempted to get in his head, and it soon became clear why he saw the funny side in it.
At the last second, the 32-year-old handed the ball to Isak who made no mistake from 12 yards out, with Twitter users loving the psychological tactic.

One fan posted: "Loving the s***housery of Trippier standing there taking the comments off Forest players for pen then handing the ball to Isak."
Another commented: "World class s***housery by Trippier pretending to take penalty so he got all the mind games then gave ball to Alex. Absolute genius never seen that before!!!"
A third added: "The face of Trippier knowing he's absolutely s***-housing before that penalty. Love that. Our captain."

This supporter then remarked: "Trippier taking one for the team there protecting Isak from all the chat. Rate it."
Meanwhile one simply stated: "Glorious. Master of the dark arts."
Newcastle boss Eddie Howe praised Trippier after the match, where he said: "I'd love to take the credit for that (Trippier's action) because it was good.

"But Alex is our penalty taker. He took our last penalty against Bournemouth and put that away really well.
"Kieran had the ball, so I was a little bit confused, but it was great to see Alex take it so well.
"That's the hallmark of Kieran - I thought he was excellent again today."
