Mourinho rages on touchline as Ibrahimovic ends spotless Serie A record

Jose Mourinho 's record of not losing a home game in Serie A came to an explosive end on Sunday.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and AC Milan conquered Mourinho's Roma at the Stadio Olimpico, inflicting a 2-1 defeat.

And after 43 matches unbeaten, starting at Inter Milan in 2009, the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager was beaten in his own Italian back yard for the first time.

Ibrahimovic fired in a free-kick midway through the first half to reach 400 career league goals at the age of 40.

The Swede then had another goal disallowed for offside later on before Franck Kessie doubled the Rossoneri's advantage with a penalty in the 57th minute.

Mourinho fumed at decisions against Roma

The Giallorossi were handed a lifeline when Theo Hernandez was sent off ahead of closing stages, but Mourinho's men could only muster an injury-time consolation through Stephan El Shaarawy.

It sent Stefano Pioli 's men level on points with first-placed Napoli in Serie A, maintaining their own unbeaten run.

Star striker Ibrahimovic faced his former boss, Mourinho, and reminded the world of his quality with a talismanic display.

The 40-year-old's powerful free-kick bent around the Roma wall and whizzed past goalkeeper Rui Patricio, giving his side the lead heading into the break.

After his cool finish which appeared to make it 2-0 was ruled out, Ibrahimovic still had an impact, winning the penalty which Kessie coolly dispatched.

But Hernandez' rash tackle saw him receive a second yellow card, promoting an onslaught from the hosts.

Tammy Abraham had already been brought off by Mourinho but ex-Chelsea team-mate Fikayo Tomori continued his imperious form in Pioli's back line alongside Ballon d'Or nominee Simon Kjaer.

The Giallorossi faced a stubborn Milan defence, with Mourinho raging on the touchline as decisions went against them.

'The Special One' was returning to the dugout after serving the one-match ban he picked up against Napoli that saw him miss their win at bottom-placed Cagliari on Wednesday.

Mourinho is now under increased scrutiny in the capital.

It follows his team's shock 6-1 hammering to Norwegian minnows Bodo/Glimt in the Europa Conference League last week, who Roma host on Thursday.

Post-match, the Portuguese raged at the officials and claimed he would get into further trouble if he aired his true thoughts.

"I want to be on the bench on Sunday and I don't want a disciplinary action against me. That's why I don't want to talk," Mourinho stated, with the Giallorossi boss demanding respect.

"I congratulate Milan, who won. Seeing that there is no respect for the Roma players is hard, respect that we have is the respect that everyone should have but it is not like that.

"In a game where we did not play well in the first half and against a good team, there was no respect for the Roma fans."
