Moura in tears after winning trophy at boyhood club months after leaving trophyless Spurs

Former Tottenham star Lucas Moura was full of emotion as he won the Copa do Brasil with Sao Paulo.

The winger left the north London side in the summer at the end of his contract after five years at the club.

Moura returned to his home country of Brazil and re-signed for Sao Paulo, for whom he spent much of his youth career at.

He has already made ten appearances since his return and scored three goals across all competitions.

Spurs fans will be incredibly fond of Moura for his Champions League semi-final hat-trick against Ajax in 2019.

It was a magical moment for the 31-year-old but his latest match could be one that lives long in his memory.

Sao Paulo drew 1-1 with Flamengo in the second leg of the Copa do Brasil final on Sunday to see them lift the trophy.

It's their first title for 11 years since their Copa Sudamericana win in 2012, with Moura part of the squad before his move to Paris Saint-Germain.

He has tasted success yet again with his boyhood club and a video at the full-time whistle shows him overcome with emotion.

Moura can be seen screaming with delight on his knees as his staff and co-stars rush to hug him.

Having played his final game for Spurs just four months ago, he has already lifted a trophy with Sao Paulo.

Moura is also the 62nd former player or manager to have left the north London club and win a trophy since their League Cup success in 2008.

The Copa do Brasil is the 20th club honour of his career, with most of those coming during his time at PSG.

Despite his efforts back at Spurs he was unable to experience similar success, with Sao Paulo champions again thanks to his help.
