Moises Caicedo admits he's happy at Brighton amid rumours linking him with Liverpool.
It's believed the Reds are interested in signing Caicedo, 20, following a stunning start to the season. The Ecuador international has featured in all six of Brighton's Premier League games, finishing off an excellent team move in the 5-2 win against Leicester on Sunday.
Caicedo joined Brighton in February 2021 and made just eight Premier League outings before this term, spending the second half of last season on loan at Belgian side Beerschot. Yet he's taken his chance at the Amex after the sale of Yves Bissouma to Tottenham.
Several clubs were reportedly interested in signing Caicedo - including Liverpool and Manchester United - before the transfer window closed on Thursday. The youngster wasn't snapped up by a potential suitor and will remain at Brighton until at least January.
Caicedo, however, insists he's happy at Brighton. "I'm very happy here at Brighton," he said after Sunday's game. "I'm not thinking about any other club than Brighton. This is the club where I am now and I will give everything for this club and to keep doing well here."
Caicedo's comments come after he dropped some subtle hints on social media. He followed Liverpool stars Virgil van Dijk, Naby Keita, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Thiago - among others - on Instagram, although it's unclear when he initially did so.

The midfielder also liked Arthur's farewell video to Juventus supporters ahead of his loan move to Liverpool, which was finalised on deadline day. It's important to note he follows numerous footballers from Brighton, United and other clubs on Instagram too.
Caicedo's may prefer a move to Old Trafford instead of Anfield when the time is right. As reported by The Athletic United were in talks to sign the player when he joined Brighton from Independiente del Valle for £4.5million 17 months ago. His value will increase significantly if he continues to perform for the Seagulls over the coming months.
Caicedo said in December 2020: "My dream is to play for Manchester United because I like English football. The pace is very high, and Manchester United are my favourite club."
Discussing Caicdeo's progress last month, Brighton manager Graham Potter said: "It doesn't surprise me that people are looking at him because he is playing at a fantastic level. As soon as you do research on him you realise he is a top kid, great person, young, playing in the Premier League, has all the attributes to play at the very, very highest level."
Rumours of a £42m bid from Liverpool were in circulation during August. Responding to those rumours, Potter joked: "I think you'd probably get his boots for that, maybe, knowing the chairman! It's not for me to talk about. It is what it is."
Liverpool are widely expected to sign a new central midfielder next summer due to Jordan Henderson (32), Thiago Alcantara (31) and James Milner (36) all being in their thirties. United, meanwhile, are also looking to strengthen in that department.
