Fayza Lamari, Kylian Mbappe's mother, has been mentioned during the investigation into the alleged assault organised by Aminata Diallo against her teammate Kheira Hamraoui.
The two members of Paris Saint-Germain's women's team hit the headlines in November 2021 when Hamraoui was attacked, with it claimed that Diallo organised the assault because she was losing minutes to the fellow midfielder.
Now, as the investigation continues, Le Parisien has revealed that Diallo and one other unnamed figure felt they were virtually untouchable at PSG because they were so close to Fayza Lamari, the mother of the star player of the men's team.
Mbappe's mother has admitted to that publication that she met with Diallo three times, but has denied that she tried to help her renew her contact at PSG. Diallo has since left the club.
The investigators' suspicions were raised when they learned that one of Mbappe's businesses, the production company Zebra Valley, was making a documentary about Diallo's career, but there was nothing out of the ordinary beyond the relationship between Fayza Lamari and the player.
The investigation into the case is ongoing, with the links to Mbappe's mother simply the latest twist in this almost unbelievable soap opera.
