Anticipation is building ahead of the game's launch on October 1, with the video game giant slowly releasing Ultimate Team cards as fans begin ranking their favourite players.
Debate began when it was announced that Cristiano Ronaldo had dropped out of the game's top two highest rated players, making way for Robert Lewandowski to take his spot alongside Lionel Messi.
Some of the world's top stars often debate their individual stats, with pace an area of huge pride.
And now the 20 fastest players on FIFA 22 have been revealed, with only a select number from the already revealed top 100 highest rated overall players making the cut.
PSG forward Kylian Mbappe takes top honours as the game's fastest player with a gigantic pace score of 97 out of 99.
A clip of Wolves and Spain winger Adama Traore outraged at his pace score previously went viral, but he'll now be over the moon.
The exciting winger is now the joint-second fastest player in the game with a score of 96, well up from the 75 rating that had previously irked him.
Traore is level with Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies, who teammate Thomas Muller previously nicknamed 'Roadrunner'.
Then the first real big surprise comes with Leeds' Daniel James in joint-fourth place, joining PSG's Achraf Hakimi and Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr. on 95.
Ultimate team cards are broken up into gold, silver and bronze depending on a player's overall rating, with a number of much lesser-known stars receiving huge pace figures.
Among them is Tom Barkhuizen who plays for Championship side Preston North End, taking a pace score of 94 which massively outweighs his overall rating of just 71.
Capping off the top 20 is AC Milan left back Theo Hernandez, which may raise some eyebrows after he failed to keep up with Juventus striker Alvaro Morata.
