Burnley defender Matt Lowton needed treatment during his team's Premier League game against Leeds after being hit by a missile.
The incident happened shortly after Maxwell Cornet's equaliser at Elland Road on Sunday afternoon.
As were Burnley were celebrating Cornet's stunning free kick, Lowton was caught in the face by a bottle.
Video replays suggest the bottle was full of liquid - with the lid screwed on - and was thrown from a home stand.
Lowton, who's previously represented Aston Villa and Sheffield United, was able to continue after receiving treatment.

"Lowton receives treatment, after missiles from the stand hit the players celebrating," confirmed Burnley's official Twitter account.
Leeds are now likely to be the subject of an FA investigation following the incident.
"It is hideous, it has hit him in the face," said former Leeds midfielder Michael Brown on BBC Radio 5 Live. "Full credit he has got on with it but they have got to find that on the cameras straight away.
"You are entitled to celebrate and run. You don't want to take advantage of the home support but they [Burnley] haven't left the pitch."
Leeds went on to win Sunday's game at Elland Road thanks to late goals from Stuart Dallas and Daniel James. Jack Harrison opened the scoring for the hosts.
The incident happened just 24 hours after Arsenal fans launched objects at Manchester City midfielder Rodri following his late winner at the Emirates.
Rodri celebrated in front of the home supporters and his team-mate Kevin De Bruyne was seen kicking several bottles off the pitch after the celebrations.
In September, former West Ham star Dimitri Payet was struck by a bottle during Marseille's Ligue 1 game against Nice. Payet launched the bottle back into the crowd, prompting Nice fans to invade the pitch.
"For me, that's a normal reaction," said former Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool striker Nicolas Anelka when asked for his opinion on Payet's reaction.
"You're a soccer player, you get a bottle on your back… me, I agree with Payet at that point. If I was in his place, I would throw two bottles plus my shoes! I want us to be exemplary, but we must not be abused either."
And in March 2019, a coin and plastic bottle were allegedly thrown at Sheff Utd defender Jack O'Connell during the Steel City derby with rivals Sheffield Wednesday.
"If that's the case and someone has thrown a coin, then that's unfortunate," said then Sheff Wed manager Steve Bruce. "That's the society we live in today. We will find them and deal with it."
Then Sheff Utd manager Chris Wilder added: "There was stuff thrown over on the far side, some coins and stuff like that.
"It's gone quite hostile. There's always been rough and tumble, this, that and the other... but it's gone pretty hostile now. I don't think anybody wants to see that."
