The Red Devils are believed to be admirers of the Ivory Coast international, and a recent report claimed that Man United had stepped up transfer talks with PSV over a summer deal.
There is believed to be a release clause of €35m (£29.7m) in the midfielder's contract, with the 20-time English champions thought to be prepared to pay his buy-out fee to bring him to Manchester.
However, according to Voetbal International, Man United 'have not yet reported' for Sangare, who has represented his Dutch club on 87 occasions in all competitions, contributing five goals and six assists in the process.
The 24-year-old was in strong form for PSV during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring four times and registering four assists in 49 appearances in all competitions.
The report claims that while Sangare's name is 'circulating' around Old Trafford, the Dutch giants have not been approached by Erik ten Hag's side in the current market.
Sangare, who has also been linked with a switch to Leicester City, still has three years left to run on his current deal in Eindhoven.
According to Eindhovens Dagblad, PSV are willing to hand Sangare an extension and pay rise in a bid to keep him at the club on a long-term basis.
The report claims that the Eredivisie outfit would be prepared to accept an offer in the region of £31m for Sangare, who addressed his future in May, claiming that he 'dreams' of playing in the Premier League.
"I am a PSV player, and I am concentrating on the three games we have left this season. I don't have my head in other things. After that, I'll go on holiday, and I'll have time to talk about possible next projects. But until then I don't want to worry about that," he told De Telegraaf.
"Playing in the Premier League is not only a dream of mine but a dream of every footballer. That is the biggest and most important league in the world."
Man United continue to chase Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong, but it is believed that the Netherlands international, who has travelled on the club's pre-season tour, is still refusing to leave the Catalan giants.
The 20-time English champions have now confirmed the signing of Lisandro Martinez from Ajax, and there have been claims that the Argentina international could be used in midfield despite playing as a central defender under Ten Hag in Amsterdam.
Man United lost both Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic on free transfers over the summer, but Christian Eriksen has arrived to boost the midfield, with the Denmark international set to report to Carrington next week rather than heading to Australia to join up with his new teammates.
