Having arrived at United in 2015 for a fee of £57.6m, Martial has gone on to deliver 90 goals from his 317 appearances in all competitions.
However, the Frenchman's time at Old Trafford has looked like being cut short for a number of transfer windows having failed to regularly showcase his best form.
Since an unproductive loan stint with Sevilla during the second half of 2021-22, Martial has chipped in with 11 goals from 48 outings, many of which have come from the substitutes' bench and not helped by undergoing groin surgery earlier this season.
With United having no interest in extending the France international's contract past the end of this season, the 28-year-old will become a free agent in the summer.
Inter Milan showing interest
According to Fichajes, Inter are ready to get involved in the race to secure Martial's signature.
Inter are on the brink of wrapping up another Serie A title, leading the table by 14 points and having scored 75 goals during their 31 fixtures.
The likes of Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram have starred for Simone Inzaghi's side this campaign, chipping in with 33 strikes and nine assists between them.
Nevertheless, there is a desire to bring in another attacker that is more youthful to the current backup of Marko Arnautovic and Alexis Sanchez, who are 34 and 35 years of age respectively.
Sanchez's terms expire at the end of 2023-24, making it plausible that the Chile international could depart San Siro and an alternative be found on a free transfer.
Who else is interesting Inter Milan?
If Inter do not move for Martial, the report claims that Genoa attacker Albert Gudmundsson has a number of admirers at the top-flight leaders.
The 26-year-old Iceland international has contributed 12 goals and three assists from 29 starts in Serie A this campaign, largely down the centre but with the qualities to also feature out wide.
Since the turn of the year, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United have both been credited with an interest in Gudmundsson, who appears destined to move to a bigger club.
Inter have allegedly already secured the signature of Porto forward Mehdi Taremi on a free transfer, which would potentially limit Martial's chances down the middle.
