Manchester United were swept aside by rivals City in a one-sided Manchester Derby on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola 's men compounded the pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer by winning 2-0 without often getting out of second gear.

A host of Red Devils players struggled as the Citizens comfortably gave themselves a six-point gap over their cross-city foes in the Premier League table.

Solskjaer opted to employ a 3-5-2 formation but his side's game plan went out the window after just seven minutes when Eric Bailly deflected Joao Cancelo 's cross into his own net.

Bernardo Silva then doubled City's advantage on the stroke of half-time by sneaking behind Luke Shaw and poking past the largely resolute David de Gea.
